Bank Account

Each Character in your organization will have a personal Bank Account containing only legitimate or 'clean' money, no illegal income. This is literally a real bank account in his own name, together with all the financial records needed to prove his legitimate income sources to any prying IRS inspectors or investigative agents.

Any 'clean' money that a Character does not take for himself (forming a percentage of his 'Personal Account' - see the page of that name within this section) will be added to this Bank Account and saved for his future use. The sole use of large amounts of 'clean' funds early in the game is to buy legitimate businesses and property, as buying these with illegal money (ie. any money he can't prove came from a legitimate source) is extremely risky. Naturally the game doesn't prevent any Character from handing over a large wad of illegal cash when buying a business, but the fact he has done so is recorded and may at some later date be uncovered as evidence against him for use in a tax evasion case held in a Federal court.

Bear in mind that spending large amounts of illegal money openly was the means by what Al Capone was finally brought to justice. They could prove he spent it, therefore he must have earned it but did not pay taxes on it. Of course he couldn't pay taxes on it, as he couldn't prove that it had come from a legitimate source... Vendetta Characters will also have to be very careful about spending large amounts of illegal money openly, especially so when it comes to buying businesses & property.

Any legal or 'clean' money a Character earns or receives from any source will be placed in his legal 'Bank Account', not mixed up with his illegal 'Business Account'. On the week he receives it he will take some of it for his personal use (added to his 'Personal Account' and recorded as a percentage of that account), but the remainder will go into his Bank Account and will remain there until he spends it on a legitimate purchase. The only time he might later dip into his legal Bank Account without an Order to do so would be if his illegal income is extremely low for some reason. In such a case he will withdraw some from his Bank Account for Personal Account use (literally, to cover his living expenses), if absolutely necessary. If you can afford it, it would be better for your Boss to loan this Character a wad of illegal money rather than have him live on the money saved in his legal Bank Account. 'Clean' money is just too valuable in Vendetta to spend on anything other than property & legal businesses.
