Character Profile
This is a special screen within the game where you may view at a glance everything about a particular character. His portrait, his characteristics, skills and abilities, his aptitude for these, and details of his rank within the Organization he belongs to, as well as which Syndicate or Family this Organization is a part of. On this screen you may also change the Time Allocation and Skills Improvement settings for this particular Character, if a member of your personal Organization.
Sub-sections of a Character's Profile screen will list other information unique to this Character, such as his accounts, details of the rackets he operates, kidnap and hit plans known to him (or on which he is working), plus details of any 'Skeletons' he is aware of and any influence or blackmail hold he has over other characters in the game.
Not only will you be able to see the Character Profiles of all characters in your personal Organization, you will also be able to view the Profile of any character ranked below you in the Syndicate or Family hierarchy to which you belong, including other Boss Characters below you. The Head of a Syndicate or Family may therefore view the profile of any of the potentially hundreds of characters in their entire organization, regardless of which player actually controls them. The most secretive sub-sections (anything to do with plans, skeletons, influence or blackmail) are not able to be viewed except by the controlling player, but all other information will be available.
Parts of Character Profiles of rival Syndicate or Family members might also be discovered through careful Investigation. Once discovered, these are added to the Knowledge Database shared with other members of your Syndicate / Family. Possessing the main Profile of a rival gangster provides a bonus when planning to attack, kidnap or 'hit' that character, as it amounts to having a greater knowledge of him, his personality, habits and lifestyle. In addition, to Investigate a rival Underworld Character with a view to discovering any hidden 'Skeleton', it will first be necessary to be in possession of his main Profile.
The various sub-sections of the Character Profile screen of any controlled Character also gives you access to a range of settings and instantaneous orders. For example, a Character's racket listing will include the options to abandon or transfer control of a particular racket, while the list of Influenced characters allows you to suspend, reduce or increase the regular payments being made to each influenced Character. These are not 'Orders' in the normal sense of being time-consuming, so these options are included on the relevant screens rather than under each Character's 'Boss Orders' section.
